    All the crates we use are made from timber, sourced responsibly and pass all international regulations.

    Large glass panels can be transported by various methods, and whilst on their final leg, transport using 'inloaders' are the perfect solution. These jumbo frames are perfect to transport large panels safely and can be used through the entire supply if necessary.

    Often, glass must be temporaraly stored on site prior to the instalation. In most cases, it's best if the glass is supplied fully crated to avoid any accidental damage.

    This layer of protection begins at production where the glass is checked and sealed prior to it's often long journey to site.

    Modern haulage vehicles cater for the movement of large panels in specialist glass carriers called 'inloaders'. These vehicles reverse over the uniquely designed carry frams and lift the whole stillage to form part of the truck.

    After the long journey from production to site, unloading is one of the final steps in concluding your order.

    Release from frame and deliver

    Once the glass has arrived at your site, the outer packing can be removed, and the glass prepared for unloading. Depending on th site circumstances, the glass can either reamin on the carry frame, or as seen here, lifted straight into it's final position. All this work is undertaken with great care and with the necessary Health and Safety paperwork and risk assesments.

    Front face aluminium mirrors offer a superior reflective quality. The coating is applied using the spluttered method in a vacuum chamber. The aluminium is then coated to protect the surface from scratches. Often the face is highly polished and has a surface, prior to coating, approaching that used in scientific applications.

    Whilst some large sizes are always on stock, these are in the raw float state and will undergo perhaps many processes before shipping off to your site. You should always plan well in advance when your project requires bespoke glass, as the turnaround time can often run in to several weeks and sometimes longer..

    Some applications require glass of greater surface accuracy. We can supply smaller panels of ultra smooth glass on request.

    Using the largest possible glass for a dispaly window is always going to be the best approach when applied to a retail unit. This type of glass also benifits from a non-reflective coating.

    This type of process has its limitations

    Inroducing curve glass in to your project adds a new dimension, but careful consideration should be made to the parametres of the form. There are physical limitations on the minimum radius to which glass can be curved and this changes depending on the glass thickness. Contact us to check whether the curve you require is possible, but generally any radii over 1200mm is feasible. However, we can go as low as 600mm depending on the spec.

    Upto 4m width

    By special request only

    In collaberation with our partners, we are able to offer, on SPECIAL request only, glass of extra widths beyond normal availability. Most float lines operate at between 1.8m and 3.3m ribbon widths but often, architects desire panels which go beyond this width availability. We are able to go beyond this width and on special rest (subject to minimum order quantity) reach 4m panel widths. Further processing may be restricted.
